JUSSARA
Agroforestry & Social Justice

The program focus on small to medium family farms in Southern Bahia. The community is composed of family farmers, rural workers as well as indigenous and ‘quilombolas’ (afro descendants)  communities. The region is historically affected by deforestation with low social development indexes.
The Program intends to implement organic agroforestry and forest restoration, as well as strengthen the families' capacities in agroecological agricultural models and support supply chain establishment.
